IT Support

Role and Responsibilities:
• Address user tickets regarding hardware, software and networking
• Walk customers through installing applications and computer peripherals
• Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems
• Guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions
• Conduct remote troubleshooting
• Test alternative pathways until you resolve an issue
• Customize desktop applications to meet user needs
• Record technical issues and solutions in logs
• Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
• Follow up with clients to ensure their systems are functional
• Report customer feedback and potential product requests
• Help create technical documentation and manuals
• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems & software.
• Manage daily IT operations such as backups and ensure all IT processes are correctly completed and in place
• Coordinate with 3rd parties for setting/installation and maintenance system/applications.
• Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution.
• Responsible for planning, implementation, support and maintenance of server related systems and new projects
• Configures, tests, maintain LAN/WAN, wireless equipment and related services.
• Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves network problems.
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
• Reporting network operational status and managing projects.
• Create and maintain documentation.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering / Science / IT or related discipline.
• Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MSCE), CCNA / CCNP certification is an added advantage.
• Certificate for Microsoft Window Server OS
• In-depth knowledge / experience and understanding on TCP, UDP, IP, Routing, Bridging, Network Topologies LAN / WAN / VLAN / MPLS / extended LAN technologies
and related system problem solving experience.
• Experience in Firewall, Switching and Ethernet.
• Experienced in Cisco, Juniper and Fustigate devices.
• At least 2 years working experience with airline system, especially with Reservation system
• Able to setup, install and trouble shoot systems and applications, especially Reservation System.
• Have good interpersonal skills
• Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical
Support Engineer or similar role
• Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
• Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners
• Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs
• Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
• Customer-oriented attitude
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or relevant field
