LICENSED FLIGHT DISPATCHER – Nine Star Airways – Bangkok, Thailand

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Demonstrated applicable previous experience in the scheduling / dispatch function in international/domestic flight operations with either an established flight-planning and support vendor i.e. Rockwell Collins, ARMS, RocketRoute etc
• Ability to effectively partner with different groups within Nine Star Airways
• Strong communication skills and ability to communicate to Senior Management, Pilots and fellow dispatchers and schedulers
• Ability to effectively multi-task multiple concurrent assignments and manage multiple deadlines
• CAAT Dispatchers License preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not essential

Nine Star Airways was established in the 2013. The company was bought over by new investors in January 2015. Under the stewardship of our new CEO and Board of Directors, we have undergone a full-fledge transformation and restructuring exercise.

The exponential growth of Low Cost Carriers (LCC) in Asia in the past decade has taken the air travel industry by storm. In addition to taking a large chunk of the air travel business from Full Services Carriers (FSC), LCCs were also able to introduce the choice of air transport to many would-be travelers who were unaware or could not afford the previously costly air tickets.

Like most other industries, as air travel customers become more savvy and conscious of the choices available to them, they begin to do more research and will make choices based on their personal preferences and requirements. As part of the airline supply chain, we at Nine Star Airways believe that we have the capabilities to provide a bespoke choice of air travel. Compared to procuring the services of scheduled airlines, our customers are given more liberty and freedom to tailor flights according to the dynamics of their requirements. We not only offer services to travel and tour operators, but also to the many private organizations, non-government organizations, sports’ authorities, incentive travel programs, government programs, etc.

We are currently seeking a LICENSED FLIGHT DISPATCHER to work in our Bangkok office. This position will be responsible for providing Operational support with respect to the daily operations of the Nine Star Airways fleet.
General Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Flight Operations, the Licensed Flight Dispatcher will be responsible for providing Operational support with respect to the daily operations of the Nine Star Airways fleet.
The successful candidate:-

• Independently works with flight crew to create moderate to complex flight plans which require identifying route/logistical options for efficient solutions. Communicates with flight crews, schedulers and other involved personnel to seek, identify and track specific flight requirements (e.g. where flight will occur, clearances required, customs requirement, Transportation Security Administration, air traffic and airspace requirements, flight plan needs, weight and balance, etc.) and troubleshooting flight plan solutions. Flight plans are typically complex in nature with various stops, airports and fuelling options. Provides flight follow up for aircraft in flight.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for creating positive relations and serving customers in the Commercial/Charter Aviation sector. This includes moderate to complex flight planning, with multiple customers at one-time. Communicates with flight crews, schedulers, owners and other involved personnel to seek, identify and track specific flight requirements. Creates and adjusts flight plans, itineraries and other appropriate document for trips.
• Independently uses on-line tools (Rockwell Collins, ARMS CPSS FOSS, FPDS) and resources to gather moderately complex flight information and prepares information for briefing delivery to the flight crew.
• Independently acquires, distributes and interprets a wide variety of publications. Identifies any missing publications and acquires them.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate. (e.g., emergencies, changes in workload, AOG situations or technical developments)
