FLIGHT DOCUMENTATION OFFICER – Nine Star Airways – Bangkok, Thailand

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Must have a Bachelor Degree or equivalent.
• Various aviation training certification is desirable but not required.
• At least 3-5 years within an airline/air traffic controller position with good understanding on air traffic management principles
• Have a good understanding of aircraft documentation requirements
• Ability to adapt to working in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment
• Good/Excellent understanding of English
• Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Powerpoint
• Ability to multi-task in a rapidly changing environment.
• Team player.

Nine Star Airways was established in the 2013. The company was bought over by new investors in January 2015. Under the stewardship of our new CEO and Board of Directors, we have undergone a full-fledge transformation and restructuring exercise.
Industry experts and experienced specialists have now joined us, and are deeply entrenched into the plans for our company’s growth and development. We are now ready to serve our customers and be the top choice to the chartered air travel market.
The exponential growth of Low Cost Carriers (LCC) in Asia in the past decade has taken the air travel industry by storm. In addition to taking a large chunk of the air travel business from Full Services Carriers (FSC), LCCs were also able to introduce the choice of air transport to many would-be travelers who were unaware or could not afford the previously costly air tickets.
The latter part of the decade has seen FSC’s strategize to counter the growth of LCC’s; either through more competitive pricing strategies or evolving its products and services. One thing is for sure, days when air travel was only accessible to the privileged few are now gone; replaced by competitive air fare prices offered by both low cost and full service carriers alike.
Like most other industries, as air travel customers become more savvy and conscious of the choices available to them, they begin to do more research and will make choices based on their personal preferences and requirements. As part of the airline supply chain, we at Nine Star Airways believe that we have the capabilities to provide a bespoke choice of air travel. Compared to procuring the services of scheduled airlines, our customers are given more liberty and freedom to tailor flights according to the dynamics of their requirements. We not only offer services to travel and tour operators, but also to the many private organizations, non-government organizations, sports’ authorities, incentive travel programs, government programs, etc.
We are currently seeking a FLIGHT DOCUMENTATION OFFICER to work in our Bangkok office.
General Responsibilities:

This successful candidate will be a self-starter with a good command of the English language and will be responsible for ensuring all the on/off board aircraft documentation is kept up-to-date and valid at all times ensuring document revision numbers, issue dates etc are all aligned with one another. He/She will also be responsible for ensuring the Nav Charts and AIP are kept updated at all times too.
Additional functions will also include inputting data into the Nine Star Operating System (ARMS) as well as assisting other departments as and when required. Reporting jointly to the Flight Dispatch Manager the following will be the general responsibilities of the successful candidate:-

• Ensure Flight Deck and Cabin manuals, documents etc are always up-to-date and all revisions of such manuals, documents etc are always current and aligned with one another.
• Develop the necessary checklists for Nine Star Airways that will be needed to complete His/Her duties ensuring such checklists contain a comprehensive list of all onboard (flight deck and cabin) manuals, documents etc that need to be checked.
• Ensure that Nav Charts and the AIP are kept current at all times
• Assist the Nine Star Airways Training Department when required
• Ensure filled forms for any given flight have been returned by the cockpit crew to OCC
• Ensure any relevant information is entered into the ARMS database.
• Forward flown flight documents to the respective departments i.e. Flight Ops, Engineering, QA/Safety etc for filing.
• Assist the QA department in ensuring all revisions of Nine Star’s Operational (AOC) Manuals are up to date and controlled as per the required QA standards.
• Coordinate with the in-flight documentation supplier in order to acquire Route Manual, Aerodrome Manual and Chart Manual, either paper or digital format, for using in flight deck and distribute to pilots and related stations abroad ensuring weekly revisions are keep all up-to-date.
• Acquire and maintain stocks of all forms, checklists and accessory equipment used in the flight deck and cabin to ensure that they are replaced when utilized or damaged.
